If you have been arrested, or are suspected of committing a crime, it is important you understand your rights when dealing with the Police. There is a widespread (and incorrect) view that you are required or obliged to give an interview to Police. This is mostly not true, and in many cases, giving an interview can harm your case in the long run. There are, however, very limited circumstances where you may be in your interests to participate in an interview with Police.
