Melissa is a Director and the Principal Solicitor at Mastronardi Legal.

Melissa prides herself on her commitment to guiding clients through the family law system, with a strong preference on assisting clients negotiating outcomes. Melissa understands the emotional toll that comes with family law, her understanding and empathy is reflected in her conciliatory approach to her client’s matters. When matters require Court proceedings, Melissa goes above and beyond to ensure her client’s case is prepared and presented to the highest standard.

She was admitted to practice in 2010 and has worked exclusively as a family law solicitor since January 2011. In 2016 Melissa was nominated for the NSW Young Lawyer of the Year.

Melissa has strong ties to Regional New South Wales. She was raised in Dubbo and, after studying in Canberra and practising in Wagga Wagga, returned to home to Dubbo in 2014. Melissa is passionate about supporting and engaging regional and rural lawyers and improving family law services for regional clients. Melissa has been the Dubbo Representative to the Regional Committee of the Family Law Section since December 2015. In 2017 she developed the Guide to Living and Working in the Orana Region to assist young lawyers transitioning to life in the Central West.

Melissa is the Vice-President of the Orana Law Society. She is a former Executive Councillor of NSW Young Lawyers, former Chair and Vice-Chair of the Young Lawyers Bushweb Regional Issues Committee and a former Young Lawyers Delegate for both the Orana Law Society and South West Slopes Law Society.

Along with being the Principal Solicitor of the firm, Melissa takes pride in managing the marketing and social media of the firm. Melissa is constantly looking for ways to develop and improve the way her team provides legal services and information.

Personal: Melissa is enjoying her journey into motherhood after having her first child in October 2019. When not at work, Melissa can often be found baking, practising her photography skills, quilting and spending time with friends and family. Melissa is an avid support of the Sydney Roosters.
