The position is based in our Dubbo office. This role is perfect for a current student, or law graduate, looking to obtain experience in and ultimatly practice in Family Law.

About the role

  • Assisting senior solicitors managing family law matters including divorces, parenting matters and property settlements.

  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence.

  • Conducting legal research and preparing advice.

  • Meeting with clients, attending Court, attending mediations, and working with counsel under the supervision of senior solicitors.

  • Providing outstanding client service and maintaining strong relationships with clients.  

What we are looking for

  • A student who is in their final year of a law degree or has completed their law degree and is enrolled in the GDLP program or currently studying the GDLP program.

  • A strong interest in family law.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Hands-On Experience

At Mastronardi Legal, we believe in learning by doing. To ensure you are ready to practice after your admission, you will be given the opportunity to: -

  • sit in on conferences with clients and Counsel;

  • attend various Court events alongside senior solicitors including compliance and readiness hearings, interim hearings, and final hearings;

  • observe mediations and gain real-world insights into family law practice;

  • attend family law conferences and networking events.
